Let's get down to business and start with the things that I hated this month!! 1. Growing Naturals Organic Rice Protein in Chocolate. I love Arbonne protein shakes, but just recently a nutrition shop opened up in my area so I thought I would give it a try. First of all, the will never go back to that nutrition shop because they are rude. I plan on writing a Yelp review about them soon! As most of you know, Arbonne's protein shakes are vegan; made with cranberry, brown rice, and yellow pea protein. This protein shake I tried was a rice protein and it tastes awful! The only way I can stomach to drink it is to mix it with coconut almond milk. 2. Rouge Underground; Makeup Sealant. I been hearing a lot about Mac's makeup spray so I thought I would give this a try. It wasn't cheap either... Around $20. After a few hours I noticed spots on my face from the spray. I was so upset that it didn't blend. 3. Maybelline Baby Skin. I've been hearing so much about this stuff so I thought I'd try it since it's not expensive. I'm so spoiled with my Arbonne primer and ended up really hating this product. You have to use quite a bit of product and it smells terrible! 4. Physician's Formula Organic Wear CC Curl + Care Mascara. I switch between mascara's a lot. I was excited about this product because it claimed you wouldn't have to use your eyelash curler anymore. I hate using my eye lash curler!!! Anyways... I noticed sometimes it would do a great job curling and other times not... Also, it smelled weird! Ok... Enough of that depressing mess... Let's move on to the things I loved in September!! 1. TooFaced Better Than Sex Mascara. I really love this mascara because it makes my lashes thicker and longer!
2. Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipsick in Watermelon. The formula for this lipstick is amazing! I love how it moisturizes my lips while also providing great color! The color seems to be last longer than my other lipsticks which I really like because I hate reapplying makeup when I'm out and about. 3. Nature Republic Green Tea Cleansing Oil. This has helped my skin out a ton with acne problems!! I used to be scared to use oily products in the past because I thought it caused acne, but I learned that dry skin can also have acne. Since I was drying out my skin too much it caused a lot of problems. 4. Atomy Calming Skin. This product has essential citrus oils from Jeju Island in South Korea. I love the smell of this! It does a great job soothing my skin and keeping it moisturized. 5. Sam & Nic Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush. I have used so many different kabuki brushes in the years and they have all had terrible brushes that would leave left over fibers on my face. This one is really soft and I have never had issues with the hairs coming off the brush and staying on my face.

Yesterday was filled with a lot of painting!! A couple weeks ago my friend and I walked by this ceramics painting shop. It looked so fun! We went back last night. It is in Seattle at University Village. It's called Paint the Town. I can't wait to see my little whale in a week after it has been glazed and baked!! Part Two!! Went to a painting event at a winery. I was disappointed that there wasn't any free wine to sample :( This was the 3rd canvas painting that I've ever done and I was annoyed that the instructor didn't give us very much direction at all. I think I'm getting better at painting though so that's a plus!! In a few days I'll be posting my loves/hates for September!!! Please keep your eyes open for that!! Thanks so much for your continual support!
I'm so excited to announce that I just made this kimchi for the second time!!! Thanks so much Maangchi for helping me with my Korean cooking! It makes my Korean husband happy!! I also made this Korean egg toast for dinner tonight. When I was in Korea, I loved to eat this. I always ate so much Korean food at home and at work that it was nice to eat a sandwich!!!
I love looking on Youtube for recipes! I love learning so many cooking techniques since I wasn't much of a cook before getting married. Thanks to Youtube, I'm able to keep my Korean husband happy by making Korean food! Thank you so much Seonkyoung Longest for requested recipe!! She is awesome! I asked her to make kiwi salad dressing because when I was teaching English in Korea, I would always buy this salad dressing. I have been craving it forever and I don't know what it is, but you just can't find a good fruity dressing here... Grr! Anyways, I can't wait to make this! I had made a few of her recipes so far and they're all great! Kiwi Salad DressingVegan Avocado Smoothie I just made the vegan version of the avocado smoothie she made and it's so yummy! I will post other videos I try in the future... Here is a link to Seonkyoung's channel~ My husband enjoys her videos too because she is always so happy and you can tell she enjoys to cook.
Seonkyoung Longest Youtube I figured that I will make a favorites thread every month... I eventually want to start a Youtube channel, but I need a better camera & editing software. If you have any advice for me then please let me know!! I downloaded Audible recently and this was the first book I had to get. I've been wanting to read it since it came out, but I just never got around to it. The story is about Laura Ling getting detained in North Korea and the struggles that we endured by her and her family to get her back to the US. The story was touching because the people that Laura met in North Korea were not horrible people. They all wanted the best for her, but like most North Koreans they blamed the US government for her not returning sooner. I would recommend this book and Audible in general. Audible In the month of July, a friend of mine had a Pampered Chef party. I am terrible at julienne slicing so I thought this would be a great tool for me!! IT WAS! It's so easy to use! Julienne slicing is no longer an issue! This is also a Pampered Chef item. I was really in the market for a new can opener since the one I had wasn't really working and it was rusting because my husband always left it in the sink. I was really happy with this purchase! It's so easy to use and the cool thing is that it cuts the lid leaving a smooth edge. No more sharp cans! Awesome! Last year I got the Nike Fuelband. It was a pain because I couldn't wear nice watches since I was already wearing the Fuelband. The Fuelband was suppose to be safe to wear when working out, but I noticed sweat would sometimes get into the plug area. In less than a year it broke. I was skeptical about buying something else, but I did as much research as I could. I decided the Fitbit Zip would be a better tool for me. I love it!! You can sync it with My Fitness pal and it also seems more accurate than the Fuelband. I started working for Dr. Jerry Giddings in July. The funny thing is that I knew him from racquetball! Pictured is Lisa, Dr. Giddings, and myself supporting the Seattle Seahawks. I love the fact that everyone in the office really care about each other and takes the time to ask questions in order to get to know you. In the past I've worked with so many people that just want to talk about themselves and don't bother to ask how I was doing.
I'm still an Arbonne consultant, but I have gotten very inactive since I got a slap on the wrist for promoting products online. It wasn't even that I was selling online, it was more that I was saying how great products were. |
